The rambutan fruit

Although the rambutan fruit looks very strange on the outside with it's hair, it is remarkably similar to lychees.

The rambutan is very sweet and has a nice amount of juice in it but it is not as flavourful as lychees. They do have a similar taste but the lychee does have a much more potent taste. A rambutan fruit also has a seed inside like lychees.

The gac fruit

The gac fruit looks quite terrible when it is open but there is basically no smell. Some people say there is no taste but there definitely is. To me it has a raw flower/pastry taste mixed with a prune or vaguely like raisins. You can't eat the hard seeds but you have to suck the flesh off the seeds.
