The gac fruit
The gac fruit looks quite terrible when it is open but there is basically no
smell. Some people say there is no taste but there definitely is.
To me it has a raw flower/pastry taste mixed with a prune or vaguely like raisins.
You can't eat the hard seeds but you have to suck the flesh off the seeds. This fruit does have some nice health benefits.
It has a very snotty texture is not very appetizing but worth a try.
We bought an unripe gac fruit and we were delayed to taste it unfortunately since it was very hard still. This one smelled remarkably like cucumbers. The gac fruit is also family or related to the cucumber. A ripe fruit is much softer and more red.
As you can see it looks very terrible inside and snotty.
